The Facilitator - New Perspectives in Learning, Lynn Chigounis

Lynn Chigounis has a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy and history, and Teaching Certificates in Social Studies K-12 and Elementary Education. She taught at the primary and secondary grade levels for sixteen years. As a classroom teacher, Lynn had always been curious about the highly capable students who struggled with reading, writing, spelling, and math. In her search for ways to best help these students, she read the book, The Gift of Dyslexia, by Ronald D. Davis. This book held the answers she had been searching for, along with simple step-by-step solutions to conquer the wide range of learning challenges experienced by the visual-spatial learner.

"This was the first explanation I'd ever heard that clearly illustrated what is happening on a fundamental level to cause very bright, curious children to have learning problems, and why there is such a discrepancy between their abilities (IQ) and classroom performance."

Excited by this discovery, and by the success she experienced using the Davis® methods with some of her students, Lynn decided to become trained as a Licensed Davis® Facilitator. She now works full-time as a facilitator helping both children and adults to correct the debilitating aspects of Dyslexia, ADD, and ADHD, and enabling these bright, creative individuals to fully realize their talents.
